If you’ve been into cycling for a while, you’ve probably heard of Argon 18. Founded back in 1989, Argon 18 is a Canadian bicycle manufacturer founded by retired cyclist Gervais Rioux. The name of the brand is derived from the Element Argon which is number 18 on the periodic table of elements. The brand has sponsorships with multiple professional cycling teams.

ONE OF A KIND

UNITED BY THE IDEA THAT THE GREATEST RIDE IS YET TO BE BUILT, AND DRIVEN BY THE ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES OF TECHNOLOGY, WE CREATE TOMORROW’S RIDE, TODAY.

Argon 18 bikes have a reputation of being some of the highest performing bikes around. These bikes have secured podium finishes in many major events around the world, especially in the discipline of indoor track cycling and Triathlons. Argon 18 is also well known for their performance road bikes with multiple professional road racing teams on their bikes.

Customizability and fit are high on priority for Argon 18.

Adjustable 3D head-tubes allows headtube lengths to be altered, offering a customizable fit. This system allows for tons of adjustability options and can be paired with normal headset spacers. You can really slam your stem thanks to this and experienced riders will really appreciate this.

Argon Fit System (AFS) is another important part of the Argon 18 ethos of offering optimized geometry and tubing sizing across different bike sizes to suit individual rider’s requirements. Different shaped and sized tubes with altered wall thicknesses and re-enforcements across the size range provide a consistent ride feel irrespective of the actual bike size. This attention to detail produces excellent ride quality, handling, and power transfer.

Argon 18 is especially popular amongst time trialists and triathletes. They’ve made some truly great bikes such as the Gallium Pro that is used by many of their racing teams and is a great climbers bike.

Innovation at Argon 18

In the market for well engineered, high-quality performance bikes then you can’t go wrong with Argon 18’s latest lineup. Need something more custom then you can opt for a frameset and do your own build. The choice is yours.

We’re happy to announce that we now have stock of Argon 18‘s latest frames and framesets here at BUMSONTHESADDLE.
