The Third Critical mass in Bangalore, 31st of Jan 2009. More snaps
Ride report by Srini and Snaps by Pramod.
Thanks guys. May thy wheels never get punctured :)
Ride Report
It was a Saturday evening at the KSRTC headquarters, Double Road, where some of the bikers were attending the bicycle awareness workshop. By 4:30pm nearly 60 cyclists gathered at the start point which was a fantastic response compared to the 1st critical mass (30 bikers) and the 2nd critical mass (26 bikers). We took a different route route this time around.
The Route
Double Road, Richmond Road flyover, Residency Road, St.Marks Road, F.M Cariappa Road, Minsk Square, Queens Road, General PostOffice Jn, Vidhana Soudha, headed towards Infantry Road. We then stopped in front of i145 hotel for a quick 5 minute break (and were filmed by some TV Channel). Then set off again through Cubbon Road, Brigade Road, Garuda Mall (stopped at the usual place for a BIKE SALUTE).
Some of the pack continued to Forum Mall (stopped for a few mins here) and continued down Hosur Road onto the Dairy Circle Flyover, through NIMHANS Campus and officially ended the 3rd CRITICAL MASS at Madhavan Park at 7:45pm IST.
Result
We ended up proving that we could occupy some of the widest roads of the city and made onlookers feel that bicycles are also a part of traffic.
The Cops turned out to be a little more supportive this time as they helped us cross a few junctions without causing problems (a Yay for the cops)
looks like it was loads of fun !

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CYCLING
I love riding my bike. Whether it’s a simple commute, a high-intensity road race, a jaw-grinding brevet, fixie rides thru packed Indian city or a kick-ass technical single track – I love it all. Apart from riding bicycles, I love being all geeky and know everything there is to know about bicycles, technology, bike fit, and service.
I started BUMSONTHESADDLE to share this passion for cycling.
DISCIPLINE: Partial towards MOUNTAIN BIKING but love it all
