SHAMALA

Shamala presents – herself :)

Any more of ‘righty tighty lefty loosey’ and i could end up the charlie chaplin of ‘modern times’ :). But loving every bit of learning the mech job – keeps me focused, keeps me busy.

Being around and being surrounded by still the most beautiful vehicle ever designed – ‘the bikes’ is the best part about being a mechanic AND being amidst all of us (including all those who walk in with their bikes) who believe so is the best part about being a mechanic at BOTS. The worst is becoming used to greasy hands, not being able to smell the heady grease anymore, waiting for customers that decide to take a long ride on the bike you just serviced, not being able to talk to bikes (staring works sometimes) !! etc etc

I am mostly a commuter that just cannot be stuck in traffic what so ever. I am a biker and freedom means all to me.

Welcome to BumsOnTheSaddle Shamala!

We love the fact that we have a woman as a part of our team, someone who loves bicycles, loves working on them, riding them, sharing the passion and at the same time working hard with the rest of the team slowly building a kickass cycling company.

Apart from cycling Shamala loves listening to people, the interesting lives they lead and writing about it. You can see her work on Citizen Matters and hopefully on the BumsOnTheSaddle blog soon! She has spent a substantial amount of time in the IT sector, farmed for over a year and done a whole lot more before joining the BOTS crew.

Apart from mechanics at BumsOnTheSaddle you can see her ensuring we stay green and do our bit for saving the planet.

You can reach her at shamala@bumsonthesaddle.com or say hi when you visit BumsOnTheSaddle.

The rest of the awesome BOTS team that we are super proud of
