Rollers have been an integral tool for rest & recovery for athletes across sports and activities. Professionals and amateurs alike have depended on traditional foam and hard rollers to stretch their muscles post-workout.

While basic rollers (pipes, bamboo bits, etc) do the job, rolling on the floor is not always the easiest thing to do, and the pain associated with traditional rollers has often outweighed the benefits in the minds of users – often leading to an inconsistent application which defeats the cause.

We see Roll Recovery changing the game with their new state-of-the-art trainers which completely flipped the notion of what rollers and recovery tools can be. Not painless, but definitely a much better way to recover.

WHY ROLL RECOVERY?

Born in a garage in Boulder, Colorado, USA; Roll Recovery was created by Jeremy and Adriana Nelson in Early 2011, to solve a problem. The pair sought to reimagine what recovery tools could look like, to create exceptionally designed, highly functional tools that are mobile enough to be used anywhere, especially by athletes who are constantly on the go.

Traditional Rollers have remained more or less the same since their inception. These rollers are bulky, rigid, and offer limited functionality.

Roll Recovery offered products that were a breath of fresh air with new, groundbreaking products that re-imagined what recovery tools can look like. Concept sketches in a notebook evolved into working prototypes that were tested on friends and elite athletes. The company’s big break came with one design, the R8, which is a portable, redesigned roller which allows you to work on your muscles while standing upright, or any position for that matter, not only the floor like conventional rollers.
