Hi, I’m Shaun! A student, keen photographer and a passionate cyclist.
My love for cycling picked up at a very young age. When I was about 3-4 years old I got my first bicycle. It had a flashy paint job and those trainer wheels to keep me balanced. I had fond memories with that bike. I went everywhere with it – even had some silly crashes on it. It was a great bike but then I grew out of it fast.
Fast forward a couple of years and my passion for cycling really grew into something serious. I was gifted an MTB and subsequently a Specialized Allez Elite road bike. These two bikes have been my primary modes of transport for quite some time now. I have now taken a strong liking to road biking even though I’m a mountain biker at heart.
I’ve done numerous long rides on both these bikes spanning the entire country. I’ve ridden them in Kerela, Hyderabad, Ooty, Gujrat, Goa, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and in Bangalore.
Apart from these adventurous rides, I have also been riding to work on a daily basis and have done the longer 100 – 180km rides over the weekends. Like I said before, I’m a mountain biker at heart but I also enjoy other disciplines – I hit the off-road trails whenever the opportunity arises.
Photography, automobiles, and motorbikes are other passions of mine.
To further foster these passions of mine I decided to get into the cycling industry. I put in an application to work at BUMSONTHESADDLE as a bike specialist. I began working at BUMSONTHESADDLE a few weeks later and have enjoyed every moment here. I’ve learned a lot and have also spread whatever knowledge I have to influence other people to get into riding. It’s great working around bikes and fellow bikers all day. I get to meet new and interesting folk every day and ride with some incredible riders as well. It is indeed one of the coolest jobs ever!
Our mission is to get everyone excited about riding bikes. To build spaces and seed communities to share our passion every single day and not wait for weekends to dabble in it.
Yes. BUMSONTHESADDLE is not a simple day job. Passion is hard work maybe, but a great ride for sure.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CYCLING
I’m an avid mountain biker and I like riding fast and flowy singletrack. As I keep riding, I continuously work on honing my riding skills. I like to ride whenever possible, especially with friends. I also like to influence folk into getting to ride more often.
Working on bicycles has also been a keen interest of mine for quite some time.
