Our first shot at spreading the knowledge to encourage cycling and to make your cycling experience enjoyable and safe !
The First session is going to be basic-basics.
- Bike valves. Filling in the correct amount of air.
- Quick release usage
- Puncture Management
- Saddle adjustment
- Chain maintenance (if we have time)
Items to get if you plan to attend
- your bicycle – if not a complete bicycle, get one wheel atleast
- your tool kit
- puncture repair kit – tire levers, patches, rubber glue, sand paper
- beer, if you like
Vasu and Phil, passionate nutcase bikers, are going to be the chief wrenches.
Time to hassle them with all your queries.
The Session is going to be for an hour between 10:30 am and 11:30 am.
If this workshop is too basic for you but want to help others, you are welcome to drop by and pitch in.
The Bigger Picture
Plan is to have small, easily digestible, workshops spread through the year. We want to make sure folks from the community step up to handle a workshop so that its sustainable. If you feel like helping out shout out (or email us at admin@bumsonthesaddle.com) and we will help you setup the next one.
Since this is the first time, we are still trying to figure whats the best way to handle these. So, keep the feedback flowing in. What you like, what you did not like. Suggestions.
Please RSVP by leaving a comment – name, some contact.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CYCLING
I love riding my bike. Whether it’s a simple commute, a high-intensity road race, a jaw-grinding brevet, fixie rides thru packed Indian city or a kick-ass technical single track – I love it all. Apart from riding bicycles, I love being all geeky and know everything there is to know about bicycles, technology, bike fit, and service.
I started BUMSONTHESADDLE to share this passion for cycling.
DISCIPLINE: Partial towards MOUNTAIN BIKING but love it all
