With over 70 bikers having registered for the basic bicycle maintenance workshop last week, it was all poised to be an mega exciting event (like all other biking events in the city)

The workshop was very informative and took the bikers thru the basics of bicycle maintenance and some tips and tricks too. If you were the front bencher sorts and paid attention, Im sure your bicycle will be in good shape from now on.

On the day of the workshop about 50+ bikers did land up, which was pretty phenomenal – dont think there have been any workshops anywhere with this kinda response.

And it was all thanks to the biking community for pitching in and making sure this was a kickass event. Phil took most of the sessions, donning the teachers hat and patiently explaining stuff on a black board. Harsha shot the stills and Pramod shot the video. We will be uploading the video for those of you who were very disappointed that you would be unable to make it for the workshop.

Biking has truly arrived in the city – there was a marked difference in the quality of the workshop this time around. The kind of questions asked and the kind of biking that’s happening in the city. I guess with the tons of rides, a fantastic biking community and one of the best bicycle races in the country this is bound to happen.
