I think what'll really lift this post is if it has more India-related information to bolster the info that you can get easily on the net. For example - what are some objects people use in the streets to lock bikes to? There are very few dedicated bike racks or posts like the one in the picture - what do people do?

Hi All, Once again multiple groups reached office PAWing on 1 Aug 08 A group of cyclists started from AECS Layout. Walkers started from SAP Petrol Pump. Mahadevpura group walked from SJR iPark to Mosque for their Friday prayers. Photos of walker's group is available at http://picasaweb.google.com/niveditasachdev/01Aug2008PAW2 The most interesting part of walking was to see SRS buses and cabs stopping by offering lift and also the amusing SMS telling walker to walk fast :)) Many of the walkers seem to have enjoyed cycling while accompanying walkers. Good point Santhosh - I need to take a snap of how these guys here carry chains. They wear it like a belt or sling it across their chest.

but the main problem comes in carrying the Chains with us, wherever we go.. Dont you guys think there should be another better way to secure the Bike rather than carrying the heavy chains???.....

Hey Vin, yeah SF is a good place for biking :)

Bangalore and India have improved quite a bit in terms of biking awareness. I have seen a tremendous increase in Biking know how the last one year since we started BumsOnTheSaddle.

That is excellent news. I currently live near San Francisco and commute to work on my bike everyday. Bike lanes are such a God Send. I always toy with the idea of coming back home. Almost embarrassing to admit, but one of the things holding me back is giving up my favourite hobby! Anyway, I just came across this site today and you wish you guys the best of luck!
