Today’s Indiranagar cycle day was a decent turnout – about a 100 or so folks! Mostly kids, which is absolutely great cause it means they are out in open air vs stuck to the TV.

Good to see increasing participation from folks in the neighborhood. I’m guessing thats the reason for the drop in numbers. The novelty has worn off for folks to travel distances to attend these events. Best time to focus on sustainability, move away from the cycle-day branding and move towards an open-streets format and market it as open streets so that numbers can grow.

Good stuff either ways. Absolutely great to see tons of folks outdoors – on bikes or not!

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT CYCLING I love riding my bike. Whether it's a simple commute, a high-intensity road race, a jaw-grinding brevet, fixie rides thru packed Indian city or a kick-ass technical single track – I love it all.
