And hopefully drug free this time.
-
When did you find him taking drugs???... :-| ...
-
He replies to what he is on. Great commercial: http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=MIl5RxhLZ5U
-
Did you see and have any proof that he is taking drugs???... i think you shouldnt talk about a sports person like that...
-
If you think he is drug free Im happy for you. Enough proof exists of his usage. I don't accuse people of drugs unless I am convinced of it, and in his case i am.
-
Those are all just claims and they never could able to prove it. Otherwise they could have banned him from cycling and they could have given the yellow jersy to someone else.... :) ... See the thing is some people like diff part of the world dont like same guy winning again n again so they start accusing him however they want. if at all they had proper proof they should have punished him for those usage of drugs.
-
And its not about my happiness or others its about the charges some people made against the great sportsman.
-
Are you convinced that he is clean? Could he be doping and avoid detection? I dont accuse everyone of being a doper, but in his case the circumstantial evidence against him is overwhelming. The ones who are caught are the dumb ones. The smart ones have better doctors. Great sportsmen are not accused of cheating. And when they are, it is usually taken seriously, and they are caught.

All you got to do is read this book TOUR DE FRANCE BY- GRAEME FIFE (important author) he is very famous on the tour wright from the beginning. this book will tell you every race history how the tour started , who are the legend, the riders (other than lance),the hero's . will also tell who is convict :) the one i read was updated till 2007, if you can find new version will cover the latest races also any ways, wining is not every thing but losing sucks

Prasad - Fantastic video dude. Fantastic !!!!!
There will always be disbelievers. Always. Whatever you do - good or bad, there will be a section of people who will think otherwise. To me what matters is how yuo effect the folks around you. In Lances case, its inspiration and confidence for millions who are stricken with illness plus inspiring millions who look at a bicycle as not just a bicycle ! In doing that itself he is a Hero to me :) Sport, drugs etc etc are all secondary. -
Nonsensical posting by Rohan. How can sports and drugs be secondary when Lance can only be effective as a spokesman for cancer if he continues to race and win? What you miss is the fact that if he is doping, as many suspect, then he is deceiving the very people he is supposedly inspiring. There have been many great bikers, but only Lance comes under suspicion as a druggie. How come?
-
Sandeep, with due respect, what I meant to say is that I believe in the fact that Lance is not on Dope. When at this level of sport its very difficult to stay clear of all the press and use drugs. Or that person must be really, really, really stupid to do so.
I dont think Lance is on drugs and thats my opinion.
and in 7 years of winning the tour if you think folks have not yet been able to prove that he is on dope .. there must be something.
Im curious. What makes you so sure he is on drugs ? And if you, sitting in India which is so far away from the action, can be so sure how come the guys who are with Lance day in and day out have not yet been able to prove that ? -
Because people around him are jealous of his success. Thats why. (the people who accuses him). And i dont think only he got some new technology to dope and not get caught.. "Could he be doping and avoid detection?" i really luaghed my heart out at this statement. you should have thought atleast once before making this statement, he is just an sportsman not an scientist. as i said before how can he find some new technology which others doesnt know?. Man you must be joking.

Lance is also a hero for me until proven guilty. Regarding doping and not getting caught, it is possible. When you dope you also have to MASK it. Yes, it is new sports science but not for lance and many others on the tour. He is not the only one who dopes and masks, riders have died on the tour due to heavy EPO abuse. To find out more go on steroids.com. Even you can ride the TOUR. Hail EPO (Erythropoytein)!!! If you can afford it!!! With dope masking getting advanced every year the anti doping crew have to really stay ahead of the dopers to catch them. I have read lots of articles and books with testimonies from his Lance's PA and his nurse, that Lance indeed was an EPO abuser. He being the richest cyclist just settled things out of court, paying huge amounts of money to keep people quiet. He has a high level team of doctors working for him (Dr. Ferrari is his prime adviser, who apparently is the most tainted and notoriously known for his advocacy of EPO use). Even the UCI does not want to take action against EPO abuse, as lots is at stake. So they just sweep matters under the carpet. For them, the TOUR and the revenue it generates is of utmost importance. They do catch off beat dopers to show that they are functioning. Matter of fact... Le Tour De France cannot be ridden at such a pace on mineral water alone... Every single one of them dopes. This is the only valid reason that I still vouch for Lance. It ultimately is a level playing field... This is not a fanatical but a neutral point of view from someone who has researched a lot on Le TOUR

Hey guys guess what im going to participate in Le Tour De France next year and i am gonna win for sure. Ask me how?.... i am gonna follow Lance's method. Will use drugs and ill get away from the test also... how cool is that???.... How sick is that....... :-| .... How can any one call all the participants as dopers???... Seriously this is the hieght of stupidity ( im sorry if im sound offensive). And those people also wants others to belive in that theory. Last words from my side, Think whatever you want but dont ever comment on others so publically. If you have so many proof then why dont you guys go to France and take back his yellow jersey. If you dont have enough proof and only belive on the few articles you have read then i ask you to not to comment till the charges(till now hasnt made) are proved. Thats it from my side. Sorry if im being rude . Sorry Rohan ... :)
-
You can go n be part of Le Tour for sure but you cant win. Lance is way ahead with his years of doping experience and expertise. He He. All said n done. Does not look like you have followed any Tour De France doping episodes. Cycling by the way and for your information is THE MOST DRUG ABUSED sport in the world. All the big sponsors are pulling out of the Tour. Even Discovery Channel (Lance's Team) pulled out. WHY? Because their other star riders like Heras, Levi Liepheimer and Floyd Landis (from your knowledge, you might not have heard of these names)were found to be dopes. Even Skoda has pulled out. The 2008 tour apparently was the cleanest one or so they say. Only five dopers were caught. And if you have not heard, then let me tell you, the world cycling body is seriously planning a clean tour de France and a dopers tour de France. Its not your fault if you think the way you do. You just need little enlightenment. BTW we all love LANCE ARMSTRONG. CHEERS!!!!! Rohan. When are you back?
-
Nelly, I am pretty certain Leipheimer has not been accused of doping. If he has please tell me when. Secondly it is quite depressing to read from people like you, Rohan etc that it doesn't even matter if Lance was doping or not, because others may have been doping too. This is the wrong approach to enjoy the purity of sport. It does not make it ok for everyone to dope simply because people are cheating. People enjoy endurance events to see how much a person can endure naturally. Thats the whole point of stage races like the TDF. No one who considers himself a cycling fan can accept the fact that people who cheat are winning the TDF. Lastly I think it is silly to even think of a dirty vs. clean TDF. Who will sign up for the dirty tour? Who in his right mind will be following the dirty tour? Simply nuts.
-
Sigh !
all I am saying is I dont have proof that Lance dopes nor do I have proof that he does not.
I would LIKE to believe that he does not. :)
I like to be a bit optimistic. -
Hi Sandeep. Am sorry but Leipheimer was not caught for doping. But please do read on... IOC To Retest Olympic Samples Only days after the cycling world was rocked by the news that the 2008 Tour de France had been riddled with drug abuse, the International Olympic Committee has announced they will be retesting over 5000 samples taken at the Olympics. Once again officials will be testing for the banned substance CERA and with such a large quantity of samples being retested, the IOC are certainly making a strong statement of intent that drug cheat’s days are numbered. Those who are weak enough to cheat must be caught, named and shamed and the ability to continually retest samples will certainly help in doing this. The IOC are legally allowed to keep these samples for up to 8 years which means any new drug testing methods that are developed within this time can be used. This method will not only expose guilty athletes who initially manage to beat the system but will act as a strong deterrent to any future athletes who consider taking performance enhancing drugs. However although this clamp down on drug abuse is positive news and the likelihood of cheats being caught significantly increased, this policy does highlight the problem that drug testing still faces- the length of time it takes to catch and punish a cheat. Some athletes will not be deterred by this new policy and so unless they are caught immediately will still be able compete, win and then bask in the glory of their success. The damage is then already done and later exposure of their actions months down the line, perhaps even years, then starts to have a detrimental effect on the sport and more specifically the event they competed in. Great sporting events like the Tour de France and Olympic Games are in danger of becoming remembered for the wrong reasons and rather than celebrate the genuine success stories we are in danger of becoming sidetracked by the issue of cheats. Cheats should not be swept under the carpet or put to one side as an embarrassing inconvenience but we must be careful not to become too obsessed with this issue. The 2008 Tour de France should be remembered for the victory achieved by Carlso Sastre not for the drugs cheating of Stefan Schumacher and Leonardo Piepoli.
