How much do you save?

Congratulations, if you commute by a bicycle! One of the advantages of bicycle commute is the savings made on fuel costs that are incurred when cars and/or motorcycles are used. You’ve probably calculated this already, but just in case you haven’t either because you are too busy/lazy – whatever the excuse ;) here’s a calculator to figure out how much you save.

Though the units are in dollars, miles and gallons, the calculator still holds good for numbers entered in rupees, kilometers and litres.

We should have our version on our website soon, until then you could use http://www.thebikegeek.com/tools or http://commutebybike.com/

Bike geek also calculates how much you contribute to the environment by calculating the amount of carbon dioxide added if a vehicle was used.

So go ahead and make yourself feel good :)
