MumbaiBikers on a roll :)

written by rohan_kini on May 23rd, 2008 @ 03:28 PM

MumbaiBikers just announced their first ride !!

BangaloreBikers has been pretty useful for bikers in Bangalore – to share thoughts as well as call out for rides. Hence we decided to seed off similar forums across India so that bikers in each city can collaborate and ride out.

Have friends anywhere in India who are willing to take on the onus to moderate ? Do let us know.

a politically correct India map showing other wannabe Biker groups :)

update: Thanks to the observant bikers (from across the country) who pinged me about the politically incorrect India map that I had used earlier. Thanks guys. Nice to know that bikers are using their wits. Please continue using them while biking on roads :)

A special thanks to Mallik, a biker from Bangalore, who not only pointed out the mistake but also took the pain to send us the correct map. Thank you dude.

Nice to hear this. People do bike anyways (as was in Bangalore a year back), but its these forums which bring people in touch with their isolated tribe members :), share ideas and information. Nice map. Reminds me of schools days. Those geography map questions. Did'nt know that Hyderabad is so near to Bay of Bengal and Delhi is in Himalayas ;) Also, we have not yet ceded the PoK to Pakistan...he hee.. never mind :). Just some discrete observations.

The map of India is wrong. Among other things, it is unlawful to depict wrong boundaries. But not sure if you guys care.

This URL (http://blog.bumsonthesaddle.com/2008/5/23/mumbai-bikers-on-a-roll) still has the wrong map. And this URL (http://blog.bumsonthesaddle.com/2008/5/23/mumbai-bikers-on-a-roll/comments/11609#comment-11609) seems to have a updated/correct map. Don't know why the difference.
