Savandurga ride this weekend

A bunch of us are doing the Savandurga route the coming Sunday (9 Mar)

Ride Details
Starting time: 6am SHARP
Meetup point: Family Mart (intersection of inner ring road and Kanakpura road)
Distance: around 120Km
Approximate ride time: 6 Hrs (should be back by 1pm)
Ride level: not easy

Route
Plan is to ride up Kanakpura road, take a deviation (offroad), cut across Mysore road, ride past Big Banyan Tree and hit Savandurga. Come back the same route. Hardly any traffic on these roads and the roads are a mix of nice tarred roads and nice off roads :)

Terrain
The rolling terrain will make you utilize all your gears (time to use the granny gear) .

    Count me in for this. This is my first really long trip (have done 40 km rides the last two weekends), so hope you guys are patient with me.

    Would like to get back asap - ideal trip would start at 6am, 5-10min break at Big Banyan tree; 15-20min break at Savandurga; 5-10min break at Big Banyan tree and back to Family Mart. Want to maximize the time spent on the bike :)

    Jagan - sure. Its not that tough a ride. Just a long ride :) Balu - yup. We need to get back soon too. Sounds like a nice plan.

    Hi Rohan, Can we make it on saturday? Well, i am sure there will be many guys out there will be willing to join this ride as well as the run by RFL, but ....!!     I heard they started repairing the Mysore Road - Big Banyan tree stretchy a month back. If this road work's done, the ride is more-or-less all road and hardly any off-road. The last time I rode this route, I remember freshly laid road from Big Banyan tree to Magdi road.

    Women are slowing starting to ride. One joined us on this ride ! Guess we have to get more women to ride with us. :)
