Why should I register my bicycle ?
Registering a Trek bicycle serves as proof of ownership for any future warranty issues.
How do I register- Click on the Product Registration page on the Trek website (click here for the Product Registration Page)
- Fill up the form and your done.
While filling up the form you need to take care of two things
- Serial Number of the bicycle can be found near the pedals as shown in the picture
- The Dealer whom you purchased the bicycle from would be The Works if you picked it up from us. (The Works is the registered entity and BumsOnTheSaddle is an initiative)

It is accepting any serial number that I give, even invalid ones and also the same serial number with name changed also getting accepted. I do not know if it hides from the user that about failed registration or its simply accepting any serial number.

Hey Karthik,
spoke to the Trek reps and looks like the Trek registration site has some issues.
But then its not really an isssue - the registration system is normally used as a back-up and is not a substitute for original proof of purchase (sale receipt from us)
So hang on to that sexy invoice from BOTS :)
