Worship your bike

written by rohan_kini on October 21st, 2007 @ 11:26 PM

worship it

In India, Ayuda Puja is being celebrated – where people worship and give their thanks to items that they use day in and day out. This includes vehicles, tools, work places etc. A way of consciously accepting the inanimate as an integral part of this existence.

Take your bike out, clean it and worship it with a long hard ride :)

I love the idea of bike worshipping. I am going to have to steal (steel?) this concept and share it with my readers. Beautiful concept. Thank you, by the way, for the link.

After I read your post I made a prayer to the bike gods and, after eight days of rain we're going to get some sun tomorrow! Thanks. Time for a bit of fun and suffering.

great idea! i never thought of the perspective of integration with inanimate objects in this life, it's much better than the concept of economic wealth. it is an idea that is very much refreshing and sometimes taken for granted in the US. thank you.
